Indonesian and European style foods are abundant onboard. Look forward to post dive cake and tea as a sample of the snack offerings. Please note that Pork is not served onboard out of respect for the local culture.

Common Areas

A large sundeck with 120 m² offers an ideal place to sunbathe or relax on sunny days. On the main deck a comfortable, covered lounge invites you to relax between dives. On the main deck you will find the restaurant seating for 26 guests, as well as a comfortable TV and lounge area. In the computer room, computers and DVD/CD burners are available for you to edit and save your daily photographs. The large fore deck is equipped with deckchairs and a shade canopy for hot days.

Diving

The dive deck offers space for maximum 24 guests and a maximum of 6 dive guides. On a typical diving day, 4 dives are offered (3 day time dives and 1 night dive). One dive guide accompanies a maximum of 4 divers (sometimes 5). Each dive guide has completed over several thousand dives in Indonesia and was specially sought out by Amira.

All three dinghies are specially equipped with radio communication technology in case of an emergency. Aside from plenty of oxygen, the Amira is also equipped with an extensive assortment of emergency medical equipment (one of its owners is a physician). In addition to these features and for increased safety of the guests, Amira is the first ship in Indonesia to provide divers with the Enos® electronic positioning system, a particularly valuable safety measure for our guests when diving in strong currents.

Nitrox (32 %) and 15 L tanks are available by request on board Amira. On the large dive deck every diver is assigned a personal space where her / his equipment remains fixed to the oxygen tank during the whole safari where tanks are also being filled in place.
