Minahasa LagoonStarted as a personal dream by a diver and European industrialist, Minahasa Lagoon opened its doors to the public in early 2004. The lagoon is situated on the mainland coast of North Sulawesi, surrounded by the tropical rain forest and faces the ocean with an expansive private beach. It is 30 km South-West of Manado, and encompasses over 13 hectares of land, crossed by a picturesque mountain river fed by a stunning waterfall.

Rustic is part of the accommodation at Minahasa. With 22 rustic private cottages, you are guaranteed the best room in the lagoon. There are also 2 cottages that are connected by a covered terrace to enable one communal cottage for group stays or families. Luxury is part of the accommodation. Accommodation 

You enter your private cottage from a spacious veranda complete with outdoor dining table, and his/her lounges. Once inside, you will enjoy your spacious air-conditioned bedroom complete with a 4 poster bed and flowing white linen. Adjoining your main room is a second room with a bunk bed for two that may serve as your dressing, ready room or provide a family nook for happy children. No luxury cottage would be complete without the large, completely private open-air bathroom, and a broad wooden terrace complete with ocean view. Other amenities include a stocked mini bar, tea and coffee facilities, IDD phone, wireless Minahasa Lagooninternet connection, private safe, hairdryer, bathrobe / slippers and complete toiletries. Electrical service is 220 V and requires the round double pin plugs that are standard throughout Indonesia. With the lagoon facilities protected by automatically activated generators, you will have power 24/ 7 and, your stay will be uninterrupted luxury, every hour of every day. 

Dining

The River Restaurant is a culinary adventure across international borders and deep into the heart of gourmet jungle island fare.  Where the river meets the sea, you will dine to sounds of the ocean, sample fine foods inspired by the great chefs of world, and sip fine wines as you explore a new menu every day. From exotic salads, savory concoctions, and spicy pastas and succulent soups, there’s something for every palate.

 The Jungle Restaurant, is perched in the tree tops, high above the lagoon, where wild monkeys often cavort and the experience of dining in a jungle retreat will excite the senses.  Here, you will find dishes Minahasa Lagooninspired by local tradition and the wide variety of exotic vegetables, fish and spices available only on the local islands. From the ocean, comes fish you will not find at home, and from the highlands, exotic vegetables, fruits and grains.  For this meal, you will sit with the chef, discussing your personal tastes, and what he might have in store for you based on the current harvest and catch. The Jungle Restaurant always provides a truly unique, localized dining adventure. 

Alternatively, feel free to enjoy a romantic dinner for two on your own private veranda. The chef will come to you, and craft a delicious meal just for the two of you. 

Facilities

Enjoy the warm and gentle surf at the spacious, private beach or relax with other divers at the fresh water swimming pool and bar area.  Also facing the sea front is a heated Jacuzzi, which may become your favourite location to relax with a good book and just chill out. Other amenities include air-conditioned clubhouse with a DVD library and projector, book library and reference materials specific to the local marine life and more.  A souvenir and clothes shop, laundry service, baby sitting, a playground, convenient on site money changing, no fuss car rental, golf (outside the resort) and office services, including   fax, internet, and e-mail, with wireless connectivity are also available for guests.
