Villa Markisa Dive Resort was built and is owned and operated by Christiane and Pedro who, along with well-trained local guides, make up the team who will guide you around the famous sites on their doorstep.  Villa Markisa Dive Resort is located in well-tended tropical gardens on the beach in Bali at the foot of Gunung Agung, the volcano that gives the area its black sand. The world famous critter hunting and muck diving site of Seraya’s Secrets is their house reef with The Liberty Shipwreck just five minutes away by boat.

Villa Markisa lies two and a half to three hours from Denpasar airport, and transport can be arranged in their minibus to whisk you to your Bali beach villa or bungalow.

Accommodation

There are a variety of accommodation options available at Villa Markisa Dive Resort. There are three Bali beach bungalows, a Bali beach villa with two rooms plus a further three rooms in the main house, one of which is a master suite.

All options are air-conditioned and have complimentary toiletries; beds are queen and king size and fitted with canopies and mosquito curtains.

The three beach bungalows have queen sized beds. The bungalows make the most of the tropical gardens; huge windows seem to invite their richness inside and manage to make the space feel very open. Natural colors pair with dark woods for a luxurious atmosphere. Each bungalow has a terrace for making the most of the view, and a partially open bathroom allows you to enjoy your sultry surroundings as you shower in privacy yet outdoors.

Villa Sonea has two rooms of similar size to the beach bungalows which connect to a large central living area with a private terrace, bar area, fridge and further seating area with garden views. Villa Sonea is ideal for families or friends travelling together.

The master bedroom is located on the upper floor of the main building and has a king size bed. It is the largest room in the resort and commands exceptional views over the pool, gardens and beach. The bathroom features a Jacuzzi, and the large balcony has comfortable seating for you to enjoy the view.

The remaining two rooms are on the ground floor of the main building. One is much smaller without a balcony or any window views. The larger room has a terrace, and the same light and airy feel like the other accommodation options in Villa Markisa Dive Resort.

Dining

The resort has a restaurant and bar onsite. Their small bar is well stocked and lies on the beach next to the dive centre; it opens between 5 pm and 10 pm. The restaurant serves three meals a day; it opens at 7 am closes at 9.30pm. Meals are taken together at long tables and served buffet style. Expect Balinese, Indonesian, international dishes and BBQ. Vegetarian options are available. All guests are encouraged to purchase the food package which is extra to the room rate. Drinking water is offered free of charge throughout the whole resort and in your room too. Treat yourselves to a private dinner close to the beach or on the room terraces. Chefs are also very happy to take care of any special restrictions concerning diets and allergies.

Other Facilities

The resort features a lovely pool and open air Jacuzzi set in the gardens by the beach. The spa offers massages and treatments and has both a private open-air beachside treatment sala as well as an indoor treatment room.

The resort can organize mountain climbing, nature walks and trekking and trips to local markets, rice paddies and temples.
