Diving with Ocean Encounters
Ocean Encounters is all about delivering exceptional diving experiences in one of the most beautiful corners of the Dutch Caribbean. Its team is committed to educating divers on sustainable dive tourism, with an emphasis on protecting local marine life and contributing to the long-term future of Curaçao’s reefs.

Diving with Ocean Encounters is an easy way to experience the spectacular underwater world of Curaçao, with more than 70 dive sites easily accessible around the island. It’s run by a professional team offering daily dives from custom-built vessels, as well as shore diving, making it possible to build your dive holiday around as much time underwater as you like.
Ocean Encounter’s two-tank morning boat trips head out along Curaçao’s south-eastern coastline. It is naturally protected from the prevailing winds, resulting in generally calm conditions. Depending on the itinerary, dive sites can include famous locations such as Mushroom Forest, Blue Room and Eastpoint, with the chance to encounter schooling fish, turtles and other Caribbean marine life.
As a PADI 5-Star Curaçao dive center, Ocean Encounters offers a comprehensive range of PADI dive courses and specialty training, making it a great option for divers at different stages. Certified divers can build their skills through Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver and refresher courses, or opt for specialty courses such as Enriched Air Nitrox, Drift Diver, and Fish Identification.
Beyond the diving itself, Ocean Encounters places a strong emphasis on responsible ocean experiences. The team offers opportunities to get involved with Reef Renewal Curaçao, including a coral-restoration specialty course focused on helping restore fringing reefs. The organization also plays a role in developing Curaçaoan dive professionals, and backs initiatives including sea-turtle conservation and PADI AWARE’s Adopt a Dive Site program.
