Amenities

The Bahamas Aggressor features a cozy lounge and dining area with a computer and DVD/TV entertainment unit on one side, with guests invited to bring their favourite movies or music to share. There’s a small library of books available for exchange, as well as fish identification books for your reference.

The Upper Deck boasts a partially-covered sun deck that’s complete with a wet bar and Jacuzzi where you can relax in between dives.

Diving

Located where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea, the Bahamas is an archipelago of around 700 islands on the edge of the world’s third-largest barrier reef. It’s home to deep walls, blue holes and fascinating wrecks, not to mention some of the best shark diving on earth. Its year-round subtropical climate and favorable dive conditions make it the ideal destination for a scuba diving vacation, with a vast range of underwater environments and myriad of marine species to discover.

Water temperatures in the Bahamas range from around 78-84°F (25-28°C) in the summer months and 75 – 80°F (23-26°C) in the winter months, with the water, sometimes dropping to as low as 72°F (22°C) in January. Most divers are comfortable in a 3-5mm wetsuit, keeping in mind you may be doing up to five dives each day, including a night dive.

All diving is conducted from the mother ship’s dive platform, with boarding ladders designed for ease of entry and exit, while a tender is used to take guests on shore excursions during most liveaboard itineraries. There are individual lockers where you can store your gear and two hot, fresh water showers to rinse off after dives. There’s also a camera table with low-pressure air hoses and separate rinse tanks on the dive deck.

Divers can opt to pick a buddy of their choice or dive with one of the crew members, ensuring all diving is within the limits of their certification and no planned decompression dives. Every dive begins with a comprehensive briefing from one of the crew who will also be on hand to offer support as you enter and exit the water, as well as critter spotting underwater.

The Bahama Aggressor provides 80 cubic ft. tanks, weight belts and weights, with a full line of Aqua Lung gear and safety devices available for rent. Nitrox is also available for certified divers for a surcharge. A range of specialty courses is offered on board, including Advanced Open Water, UW Photography and Nitrox.

The Bahamas Aggressor boasts a complete digital photo facility, including a PC for downloading photos and a strobe charging station. The photo pro is available for free coaching when using the Bahamas Aggressor’s photo equipment rentals or can capture your diving adventure to share with family and friends back home.
