The Aggressor Fleet has two liveaboard boats plying the superb sites out of Belize. The Belize Aggressor III is slightly smaller at 110ft, taking 18 divers and six crew. The Belize Aggressor IV is 138ft long taking 20 passengers and seven crew. Each boat has been built to very high standards to provide for divers comfort and necessity. Both operate the same seven-day schedule and occasional ten-day schedule taking in the key dive locations of Half Moon Caye, Lighthouse Reef and Turneffe Reef and of course the famous Blue Hole.

Cabins

You can expect the same high standards of accommodation on either boat. Each cabin is en-suite with independent climate controls so that you can ensure a comfort level specifically for your cabin. Linens are changed mid-week, and fresh towels are supplied as needed. Media players with monitor, and hairdryers are standard throughout the cabins too.

The Belize Aggressor III has two types of cabins; choose from a Master Stateroom or Deluxe Stateroom. All cabins but one have port style windows. The Master Stateroom is the largest on board, enjoying 80 sq. ft. of space with plenty of storage. The Deluxe Staterooms are a little smaller but still provide for comfort. These cabins are either configured with a double bed and a single bunk above or two twin beds with a single bunk. One cabin has just two singles, one of which is an overhead bunk.

Being the slightly larger craft, the cabins aboard the Belize Aggressor IV are a little larger overall too. This vessel has two types of cabin to choose from which are also called Deluxe and Master Staterooms. The largest Deluxe Stateroom enjoys over 120 sq. ft. of space, but it’s the only cabin on-board featuring port style windows, all other cabins have large picture view windows. The Deluxe Staterooms can be configured AGGBelizebluehole2-940webwith either a king size bed or twin beds to suit your needs. The Master Staterooms are fitted with queen sized beds.

Dining

Diving is hungry work, but you’re never short of a tasty morsel onboard either vessel. Breakfast eggs are cooked to order with a range of bread, cereal, and fruits. Expect this to be complimented with something different each day like ham, bacon or pancakes. Lunch is served buffet style, and you can expect a range of dishes from which to choose. In the evening your meal is served tableside with a choice of a mouth-watering dishes. Expect a range of international flavours. If you just can’t wait for your next meal then take advantage of mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks. Be sure to get there early; with sweet treats like chocolate brownies and blueberry muffins or savoury snacks like bruschetta or conch fritters, they don’t last long. Special diets can be catered for too but do make sure that you’ve communicated your needs to your scuba diving travel agent so that we can feed your requirements through at the time of booking.

Soft drinks, local beer and wine are complimentary, and you are invited to bring spirits with you if you wish.

On your last night, the crew host a cocktail party at sunset before enjoying dinner ashore. This meal is not included in your tariff but your crew will help arrange both reservations and transport.

Amenities

AGGBelizeAggressorsalon-940The Belize Aggressor III has plenty of space for you to relax and enjoy your surface intervals. The salon and dining area are spacious and air conditioned. On the sun deck, you will find a hot tub and your choice of loungers and deck chairs to while away the time until you next splash in. The outdoor bar offers shade for you to sip cold drinks and features a grill for alfresco cooking. The Belize Aggressor IV features the same amenities apart from the hot tub.

The crew often like to share their fishy friends so you could be treated to presentations covering what you might see and don’t want to miss. Movies can be aired too and don’t be shy with sharing your favourites. A small loaning library and fish and creature identification books are available on board for your pleasure. The crew like a celebration, so whether you are celebrating your 100th dive, your anniversary or a whole year without your camera flooding, please do let them know.

On Friday, your last day, the vessel docks at 1 pm which means you are free to explore. The Aggressor team have put together a number of activities which include tubing, a visit to the zoo or Mayan Ruins. These can be booked onboard or through Fly & Sea Dive Adventures before you start your holiday.

Diving

Weather permitting, you should expect to dive the highlights in this area like Turneffe and Lighthouse Reef and explore some magnificent walls at Half Moon Caye and Quebrada. The Blue Hole, made famous by Jacques Cousteau, is often touted as the jewel in this area and, for many, is the highlight of the trip.

Belize Aggressor Liveaboard tripDiving takes place straight from the boats, and the itinerary provides for five dives each day, one of which is a night dive. Diving is always with a buddy; you can choose your own or dive with a crew member. The dive deck on both boats is spacious and the ladders have been designed to make it easy for you to get back onboard.

Both boats offer Nitrox and have unlimited packages available; your scuba diving travel agent will help you organise this. Expect your own dive locker on deck for storage. Hot fresh water showers are available on deck for you to rinse off after diving. Both vessels are equipped for underwater photographers and feature a camera table equipped with low-pressure hoses and a dedicated computer for video and photograph editing.

Tanks, weights and belts are included in your tariff. Gear can be hired but this must be organised in advance. Apart from the usual wetsuit, BCD, regulator, fins and mask you should be equipped with safety devices like sausages and a signalling mirror. If you want to night dive, then do bring a torch. You should be aware that dive computers are mandatory, and gloves are not allowed. Should any of your gear fail while on-board the crew will provide you with spares at no extra cost.
