Soft drinks, fruit juices, iced water, tea and coffee are complimentary while onboard, together with a limited selection of local beer and wine. Because of the high duty prices charged on liquor, guests are requested to bring their own liquor with them, while keeping in mind that drinking and diving are not an advisable combination.

Diving

The Cayman Islands Aggressor aims to cruise the waters of all three of the islands, with itineraries dependent on the winds and weather. The reefs here are renowned for their abundance of marine life, including sharks, turtles, eagle rays and lobster. Highlights of the liveaboard trips include exploring the Russian Destroyer wreck in Cayman Brac and the Bloody Bay Wall of Little Cayman.

The crew of the Cayman Islands Aggressor have all been selected for their unique talents, service and dive skills. Guests can either select a buddy to dive with throughout the duration of the itinerary, or opt to be led by one of the highly experienced crew.

There are up to five dives are offered each day (two on the last day), including night dives. Dives are always carefully planned within no decompression limits and divers must stay within the safety standards of their certification.

Dives are all made from the mothership, with a spacious dive platform and boarding ladders designed for convenience. There are individual dive lockers for guests to store their equipment and two hot, freshwater showers to rinse off when you return from dives.

The Cayman Islands Aggressor offers 80 cubic ft. tanks with DIN/yoke adaptable valves, as well as weight belts and weights included in the package. Other gear can be rented for the duration of your trip (with dive computers mandatory) and Nitrox is available for an extra charge on all itineraries.

A range of specialty diving courses are available onboard the Cayman Islands Aggressor, which include basic Open Water courses as well as, Nitrox and Underwater Photography. There’s a complete digital photography facility onboard which includes a PC for downloading images, together with a strobe charging station and 2 large camera tables. For those interested in improving their underwater photography skills, the onboard camera pro will be more than happy to assist.

Depending on the itinerary and time of year, the water temperatures of the Cayman Islands range from 82°F (25°C) to around 82°F (28°C). Due to the high number of daily dives, a 3mm wetsuit is recommended in summer, and some guests prefer a 5mm during January/February. Visibility in the Cayman Islands is generally very good, with no mountains or rivers causing sediment run-off. It ranges anywhere from 80-200 feet (24-60 meters), meaning that you are almost guaranteed good visibility, no matter which dive sites you visit.
