Dining

The Oman liveaboard offers a varied menu that includes a mixture of Omani feasts and international cuisine. If you have special dietary requirements, please let the Oman Aggressor know at the time of booking so they can prepare alternative meals.

You will wake to cereals, juices, fresh fruits and hot dishes that are cooked to order, with lunches served buffet-style and featuring hot soups, salads, entrees and homemade breads. Dinners are chef-prepared and feature seafood, beef or chicken accompanied by salads, vegetables and a homemade dessert.

Fruit juices, soft drinks, iced water, tea, coffee and a limited selection of local beers and wines are complimentary onboard the Oman Aggressor. It’s recommended that guests purchase their own liquor at a duty-free shop prior to departing for Oman while being reminded that drinking and diving do not mix.

Amenities

The Oman Aggressor features a spacious dining room and separate salon lounge, with a small library of marine life identification books and books for exchange. There’s also around 200 classic and new release movies that you can view in the salon or in the privacy of your room.

A partially-covered sun deck is located on the top of the vessel, together with plenty of lounges where you can relax between dives and a hot tub.

Diving

The Arabian Sea and Gulf of Oman are renowned for their healthy coral reefs and wrecks, with liveaboards accessing the deep fjords of Musandam and Daymaniyat Islands, as well as the Hallaniyat Islands off the coast of Mirbat. Divers often encounter manta rays, whale sharks, dolphins and mola mola, as well as a huge diversity of macro critters.

Water temperatures in Oman average around 71-80°F (22-25°C) due to the thermoclines, with most divers comfortable in a 5-7mm wetsuit and hood. The visibility in Oman is known to change rapidly and can be anywhere from 15 to 100 feet (4 to 30 meters).

Divers can make up to four dives each day on the Oman Aggressor, with all diving conducted from the tenders, which can take up to 11 divers. It’s highly recommended that divers carry safety devices to manage themselves in the currents, with dive computers mandatory.

Divers can opt to pick a buddy of their choice or dive with one of the crew members (each of which offer their own talents) but should remember that this Oman liveaboard does not offer direct supervision of divers. Every dive begins with a comprehensive briefing from one of the crew who will also be available on deck for surface support and to help spot critters or specific points of interest underwater.

The Oman Aggressor provides 12-liter aluminium tanks equipped with K-valves (American type) and DIN (European) adaptors, as well as weight belts and weights. Nitrox is offered for a surcharge and a full line of Aqualung rental gear is also available with prior notification. Several specialty courses are also offered on board, including Nitrox, Underwater Photography and Master Diver.

The Oman Aggressor boasts a complete digital photo facility, including a PC for downloading photos, a large camera table and a charging station. The Photo Pro is available for free coaching when using the Oman Aggressor’s photo equipment rentals or to capture your diving adventure to share with family and friends back home.
