Accommodation

There are five different room types available at Anthony’s Key Resort. These span three locations: the Key, the Dock and the Hill.

If you want a taste of luxury and to be on the water, choose a Key Deluxe room. These over-the-water bungalows boast inviting features such as Honduran hardwood furnishings, air conditioning and a private porch with a hammock in which you can embrace tranquility after a full day of diving.

Key Superior rooms are slightly smaller than Key Deluxe rooms but feature most of the same amenities except for the private porch. These rooms sport shared, covered decks instead, perfect for socializing with your travel group or with new friends.

For a back-to-nature feel, Key Standard rooms are walled on three sides. Their fourth wall consists of louvred windows, meaning these rooms open to the trade winds. Each one features a private or shared deck or porch, ideal for relaxing after a long day. Access to the key from the main island is by taxi boat which can be arranged upon request.

If you’d prefer to be located on the main island yet still want the above-the-water experience, the Dock Standard rooms are for you. Located on the dock, you’ll have a similar structure to the Key Standard rooms with one wall of louvred windows for enjoying the sea breeze. These accommodations also sport a shared, covered deck with hammocks.

For a jungle atmosphere, book a Hill Superior cabana. These are nestled in the tropical foliage of the hillside on the main island. Amenities include air conditioning, a private deck and floor to ceiling windows to take advantage of the spectacular view.

Finally, the Hill Standard bungalows are breezy with the same open-air walls as the other standard rooms. They also boast casual wooden interiors and a large, shared balcony with a wonderful view of the key and lagoon below.

Activities

After a full day of diving at this Roatan dive resort, there is no better way to relax than lounging on a white sand beach with your toes in Roatan’s crystalline water. If you’ve had enough salt water for the day, head over to the swimming pool where you can have tropical cocktails delivered to your sun lounger. Alternatively, relax with a spa treatment at the Ixora Spa.

For non-diving days, there are plenty of activities to keep you busy at Anthony’s Key Resort. Both SUP and kayaking tours are offered on the lagoon’s calm waters, and the variety of dolphin encounters offered are great for kids. You might also enjoy horseback riding down the long stretches of beach, playing 18 holes at the Black Pearl Golf Course or a ziplining adventure through the jungle canopy. Non-divers can take advantage of the two guided snorkeling trips scheduled every day.

Diving

Roatan is unique to Caribbean diving in that it offers over 35 unique and easily accessible dive sites. Anthony’s Key Resort has the additional advantage of being located in the middle of Roatan’s dive sites.

From lazy eel gardens to deep fissures and hard-core wrecks, there’s a little something for everyone at this Roatan dive resort. The island consists of a series of reefs and drop-offs, ensuring there are plenty of shallow sites for novice divers and deeper sites with some current for more advanced divers.

Furthermore, the marine life is as diverse as the dive sites. You might encounter eagle rays, the occasional meandering shark and a plethora of tropical fish.

With water temperatures of 80 degrees or warmer and an average visibility of between 50 and 100 feet, Roatan is a favorite among divers who love colorful, warm-water sites.
