Born from a dream and love for the area, Scuba Seraya Resort nestles between the popular Bali diving spots of Ahmed, Tulamben and The Liberty Shipwreck. Three years in the making, Scuba Seraya Resort opened its luxury bungalows and dive centre in 2003 and has been making a name for itself ever since. The team that welcome you have become a family and offer you hospitality as if this resort was their home.

The resort lies three hours by road from the airport, a nice way to gently ease into the sights after a long journey. This location is excellent if you want to dive and relax but if you like to get out and about at night, then you will need a taxi to go anywhere. Similarly, non-divers may find themselves a bit bored.

Accommodation

The twelve luxury bungalows lie in perfectly manicured tropical gardens that stretch to a private beach on Muntig Bay. The décor is understated and finished with light wood making the accommodations light and airy with a modern and clean feel. From the outside, thatched roofs perfectly compliment the surroundings, and the spacious layout of the resort gives a sense of tranquillity.

There are two types of accommodation in Scuba Seraya Resort; Villa Ocean View and Maisonette Garden View. Both which are ensuite and have air conditioning for your comfort. There are four Villa Ocean Views, and these have double four poster beds with a sofa at their foot. Outside you’ll find a small terrace facing the ocean, and marvellously they have a private garden which has a plunge tub, bar and fridge. For relaxing and watching the ocean, each garden features a Bale Bengong which is a Balinese-style raised daybed. The bathrooms with hot shower are an indoor/outdoor design and accessible from the bedroom and the garden which makes life easy when relaxing in the plunge pool. The Maisonette Garden View accommodation are smaller than the Villa Ocean Views, and rooms feature either double or twin beds. Outside there is a sofa with a garden and mountain view.

Dining

The open and airy dining deck is canopied by a thatched roof and fits seamlessly with its surroundings offering both ocean and garden views. If you prefer, you can enjoy your meals ocean side on the beach deck too. The kitchen prepares a range of tasty Asian and international dishes and is open for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is served and included in your room rate.

Other Facilities

Scuba Seraya Resort is a dive resort for divers so in your surface time you are invited to relax, gaze at the ocean, read your book and while away the time until your next underwater adventure. The resort has a library and video area, and of course, you can relax by the pool or by the ocean too. If you need a bit of time to dry off, you can always take a taxi into Tulamben.

Diving

The dive centre prides itself on being one of the best run in the area. They offer personal attention and have a team dedicated to showing you the best of Bali diving at your pace. The centre was purpose-built with divers in mind and has a dedicated camera room, great storage, direct access to the beach and a deck area perfect for kitting up. The area is spacious, well organised and has areas for relaxing and logging your dives too.

Excellent diving is available straight from the beach, and you can also dive the world renowned muck, reef, wall and sloped sites that lie in Amed and Tulamben with the use of their purpose built fast boat. The Liberty Shipwreck is just minutes away. The team pride themselves on their local knowledge and have many spectacular and lesser known sites, often discovered by themselves, to share with you. The centre offers all PADI courses as well as guided dives. Nitrox is available for surcharge and equipment is available for rent too.
