Diving

Ocean Encounters is a PADI 5-Star dive center and the in-house water sports operator at TUI BLUE Curaçao. Its highly experienced team provides easy access to Curaçao’s colorful reefs and offers everything from introductory dives and guided excursions to scuba courses and continuing education.

The island has more than 70 recognized dive sites, over half of which can be directly accessed from the shore. Ocean Encounters has selected what they believe are 14 of the best Curaçao dive sites and incorporated them into the weekly boat diving schedule.

Underwater visibility often reaches 65-100 feet (20–30 meters), while the generally calm conditions make Curaçao suitable for everyone from newer divers to experienced underwater photographers. The fringing reef supports around 70% of all identified Caribbean coral species, plus more than 400 different species of marine life.

The water around Curaçao stays warm throughout the year, with temperatures hovering between 79 and 82°F (26 and 28°C). For most divers, a 3mm full wetsuit is a comfortable choice, particularly if you’re doing multiple dives each day.

Other Activities

There’s plenty to do between dives at TUI BLUE Curaçao and lots of activities to keep non-diving family members entertained. Guests can take out a kayak or stand-up paddleboard, join a yoga or fitness class, or simply relax beside the pool while enjoying the spectacular views across Santa Martha Bay.

This Curaçao dive resort also offers guided snorkeling, nature hikes, and island excursions, all of which can be arranged at the onsite tour desk. TUI BLUE Curaçao’s location provides easy access to Christoffel National Park and Christoffel Mountain, as well as the island’s quieter western coastline.
