Rooms

All of the rooms and villas at the Turneffe Island Resort boast mahogany interiors, views of the Caribbean Sea and direct beach access. They come complete with safes for valuables, minibars, and air conditioning, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi.  

Deluxe Rooms The Turneffe Island Resort has eight Deluxe Rooms that feature either a king-size bed or two twin beds, as well as an outdoor shower and a private screened porch.  

Superior Rooms There are four Superior Rooms situated atop the Deluxe Rooms, with views through the palm trees towards the Caribbean Sea. They feature either a king-size bed or two twin beds, as well as an outdoor shower and a private staircase.  

Private Villas Each of the Private Villas is spacious and standalone, with vaulted ceilings and canopy-style beds. They can accommodate up to three people comfortably, with either a king-size bed or a queen and single bed. Newlywed couples can opt for the Honeymoon Villa, which is included in the Turneffe Island Resorts honeymoon package.  

Presidential Villa The Presidential Villa is located at the far end of the beach and boasts two bedrooms, a shared living room, and an infinity pool. There are an expansive porch and teak loungers where you can relax, as well as direct access to the water.  

Amenities

The Turneffe Island Resort centers around an inviting swimming pool where you can relax in between dives or there are hammocks and palapas throughout the property for escaping with a good book. The Serenity Spa offers a range of beauty treatments and massages using locally-sourced products or theres an on-site gym if you want to get active. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available to guests throughout the resort so they can stay in touch during their Belize dive vacation. 

Food

This Belize dive resort offers all-inclusive meals, which begins with fresh coffee and tea delivered to your door before sunrise every day. The ringing of a bell signals that meals are ready in their mahogany dining room, with dishes ranging from traditional Belizean fare to international favourites.  

Picnic lunches are provided for guests out on all-day dive trips while hor’s d’ oeuvres are served poolside at 6 pm every day. An outdoor barbecue takes place every Friday evening on the island (complete with crab races) while a Belizean feast is served for Sunday dinner.  

All-day snacks and a limited selection of drinks are provided in the dining room so you never go hungry, with alcoholic beverages available for a surcharge.  

Diving

Dive packages at the Turneffe Island Resort include two or three dives per day, including a night dive on Thursday evenings. Trips are led by PADI-certified dive masters and access the more than 30 dive sites located in the surrounding waters. Excursions to Jacques Cousteaus famous Great Blue Hole, Half Moon Caye, and Long Caye are also available on request.  

This Belize dive resort prides itself on offering a high-end scuba diving experience, with staff on hand to transport and clean all of your equipment in between dives. Boats return to the resort for all surface intervals so you can relax and refuel, ready for your next dive.  

Aside from their team of six Divemasters, the Turneffe Island Resort also has two Master Instructors and a Master Trainer who can facilitate a range of PADI certification courses. Whether youre just learning to dive or want to add a new skill to your portfolio, theyll work one-on-one with you to achieve your goals.  

March to December is considered the best time to dive in Belize in terms of water conditions and marine life, with April and June the peak months for tourism in general. Water temperatures remain fairly constant throughout the year and range anywhere from 79 to 84°F (26 to 29°C). Most divers are comfortable in a 3mm shorty or full wetsuit, with a full range of rental equipment available at the Turneffe Island Resort if you dont want to bring your own.  

Other Activities

If youre travelling with non-diving family members, they can take advantage of the outstanding snorkelling available just a short boat ride from the resort. Paddleboards and kayaks are also available if you want to explore the island at your leisure and daily fishing trips depart from the resort to lure snapper, barracuda, and jack.
