Night dives are not permitted in the marine parks and other areas where sharks are present.
The Blue Melody not only has a complete range of scuba rental gear if you don’t want to bring your own but also offers SSI courses onboard. Blue Melody itineraries cover both the northern and southern parts of the Red Sea, taking in spots like the Strait of Tiran, Brothers, Daedalus, and Elphinstone Reefs. It also offers trips that focus on the areas around Rocky, Zabargad, and St Johns, plus a journey to the Fury Shoal down south.
You can dive in the Red Sea any time of the year, but the best months are usually from March to May (spring) and September to November (fall). The Blue Melody takes a break from mid-January to late March when the weather is less favorable and the waters are particularly chilly.
Water temperatures in the Red Sea generally range from 74°F (23°) in the winter up to 84°F (29°C) in the summertime. During the warmer months, most divers find a 3mm wetsuit is adequate. But if you’re diving during the cooler months, you may want to bring a 5mm or even a 7mm suit, plus a hoodie and gloves.
