Fly & Sea Dive Adventures (dbu 348577 BC Ltd) acts as an agent between dive operators, hotels, liveaboards, airlines, transportation companies etc. We do not take responsibility for any changes and adjustments made by our suppliers, including airline over bookings and schedule changes, fuel surcharges and increase in entrance fees, which could alter the overall package and cost. We also cannot assume any liability or monetary losses whatsoever for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to person or property due to an act of default of any service provider in the tour, or by an act of God.

Furthermore, Fly & Sea Dive Adventures does not assume any liability or monetary losses for any damages due to sickness, pilferage, labour disputes, mechanical breakdown, quarantine, government restraints, weather or other causes beyond our control. No responsibility is accepted for any additional expense, omissions, delays, re-routing or acts of any government or authority.

Payment for a reservation on a trip shall constitute consent to all provisions contained herein.

We reserve the right to adjust our rates due to currency fluctuation.

Luggage restrictions may cause surcharges by airlines and are not included in our rates. Taxes and local charges are subject to change, and outside of our control. We do our best to advise our clients in advance of any changes, but cannot be held responsible should changes not have been communicated.

In addition to completing our Booking and liability form, all dive operators will require a signed liability form. Liveaboards typically require this form in advance of your trip.

All dive sites are subject to weather conditions. Choice of dive sites is at the discretion of the captain. No refunds are available for unused portions of a package (i.e. diving, sightseeing etc). In the event that dives are missed due to circumstances beyond control, our suppliers will attempt to make up for the dives, but no refund or compensation is offered and Fly & Sea Dive Adventures cannot be held responsible.

It is the traveller’s responsibility to ensure you have the proper documentation for the destination you will be visiting (valid passport, visa). Regulations vary by country. While we strive to provide as much information as possible, we cannot take responsibility for passengers not having correct documentation.

The decision where and when to travel, even in light of travel advisories by government bodies, lies solely with the traveller.

Payments:

Every booking requires a non-refundable deposit. The amount of the deposit varies and will be advised by your agent. Your trip is not considered confirmed until the deposit has been received.

It is mandatory that the payment schedule as outlined by your agent, be observed. Failure to comply could result in cancellation of your reservation with the applicable penalties.

Please pay attention to the currency in which your reservation is listed. It will be either CAD or USD. Due to vendors being located all over the world, and cost being in a multitude of currencies, we reserve the right to adjust our rates due to currency fluctuation.

All payments are held in a trust account, as required by BC Consumer Protection. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex in both CAD and USD, as well as international wire transfers, e-transfers, and certified cheques. Some group trips may only be payable with etransfers/cash.

Cancellations:

Should you need to cancel your trip, we will need to hear from you in writing. Generally, most payments made will be non-refundable.

Due to strict cancellation penalties comprehensive travel insurance is highly recommended. We represent Manulife & CSA Travel Protection, some of the most reputable insurance providers in North America. You can obtain coverage information and a quote here. Feel free to contact us to discuss your insurance needs. Insurance premiums once paid are 100% non-refundable. Please note: Dive accident insurance is mandatory with many dive operators. Manulife’s & CSA’s emergency medical coverage includes coverage for diving accidents.

Should reasons beyond our control, including Government Advisories, such as a pandemic, natural disaster, wars etc force a trip to be postponed, we will do our best at Fly and Sea to accommodate and advocate for you. Due to the special nature of dive trips, in remote parts of the world we often work with small owner-operated resorts or liveaboards. Due to the nature of these businesses, refunds are generally not possible. In these circumstances there will be future travel credits issued in accordance with their policies.

Travel Documents:

We require the completion of a booking & liability waiver form. No travel documents can be issued without receipt of such. We require your legal name as per passport. Should we have not been advised of your legal name prior to issuing airline tickets, we cannot be held accountable to potential change fees as imposed by the airline.

It is your responsibility to check your travel documents for validity, and to apply for Visas if required. Most destinations will require a passport with a validity of minimum 6 months after the intended return date, and with at least 2 blank pages.

All divers will require proof of certification. Some destinations require a minimum of Advanced Open Water certification, and a minimum number of logged dives.

You may also require a doctor’s note to confirm that you are cleared for diving.

Group Trips:

Most of our listed group trips are hosted, and many will have the option to receive additional dive training by the dive shop staff leading the trip.

Fly & Sea Dive Adventures cannot be held responsible for the conduct of dive shop staff on a group trip.

If you are joining a group as a single traveler, we may be able to match you up with a room mate of the same gender. This cannot be guaranteed, and you may have to pay a single supplement.
