Group Coordinator (full time):

You have a “can do” attitude and love to organize – events, projects and people. You have personal adventure travel experience, you may even be a diver, and a huge learning curve doesn’t scare you, but rather motivates you.  We offer remote work options and if you reside in the Greater Vancouver area, you will enjoy a hybrid model with flexible office and work-from-home options. We offer a benefit program as well as personal travel opportunities.  

 Duties & Responsibilities 

• Coordinating operational aspects of 50+ groups/year with 10 – 50 guests 

• Working alongside the admin & customer service team  

• Managing deadlines (vendors & client payments, booking process, document production) 

• Maintaining spreadsheets for the groups department 

• Room block management (release dates, adjustments as needed) 

• Coordinating custom adjustments with sales support 

• Assisting the sales team as needed 

• Developing & maintaining client relationships 

• Keeping your travel education up to date including our preferred suppliers & the latest in the travel industry 

 Qualifications & Experience 

• Exceptional Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks with meticulous attention to detail. 

• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information and collaborate with team members, clients, and suppliers. 

• Proficiency with Excel to analyze data, create reports, and streamline processes. 

• Proactive and Solution-Oriented Mindset: Ability to anticipate challenges, identify solutions, take initiative and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

• Team Player: Capable of working collaboratively with team members and independently when necessary to achieve common goals. 

• Highly organized and able to manage several projects (groups)at the same time 

• Deep passion to understand and serve the travel needs of dive groups with a commitment to creating exceptional travel experiences. 

• Personal international adventure travel experience. 

• Previous sales and/or customer service positions, preferably travel industry or hospitality management is an advantage ( If you have recently graduated from a recognized travel & tourism program, we want to hear from you!!)

• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Social Media, Internet) 

• Friendly & positive attitude with a good sense of humor 

• Certified diver or willing to learn to dive is not mandatory but would be an advantage
