Accommodation
The Thailand Master can accommodate up to 18 divers in seven cabins, all of which have their own en-suite facilities. Towels and bedding are provided in each, as are overhead reading lights and cupboards for personal storage.
Double/Twin Cabin: There are three Double Cabins onboard Thailand Master that can easily be converted into two single beds. Located on the Lower Deck, they feature individually controlled air-conditioning and en-suite bathroom facilities.
Fixed Twin Cabin: The two Fixed Twin Cabins are ideal for two friends or family members traveling together, with fixed position single beds. Located on the Lower Deck, they feature individually controlled air-conditioning and en-suite bathroom facilities.
Quad Cabin: Onboard the Thailand Master are two Quad Cabins that can accommodate four divers in two single beds and bunk. Located on the Lower Deck, they feature individually controlled air-conditioning and en-suite bathroom facilities.
Dining
All of the meals onboard Thailand Master are served buffet-style and include both traditional Thai cuisine and international favorites. Locally sourced ingredients are incorporated wherever possible and most dietary requirements can be catered for on prior request.
While there is an indoor dining space, most meals are served in the outdoor dining area, which is shaded for your comfort. Water, coffee, tea, and soft drinks are all complimentary onboard this Thai liveaboard, with a selection of beers and wines available for purchase. Self-service snacks are also available for a surcharge.
Amenities
On the Main Deck is the saloon with a 42” flatscreen TV and a library that’s well-stocked with books, games, and movies. Aside from the indoor dining area, there is also an alfresco space where you can dine with views of the Andaman Sea. The sundeck is equipped with loungers where you can relax in between dives and there are plenty of bean bags for kicking back with a good book.
Diving
The Thailand Master has been built specifically for divers, with a shaded Dive Deck that offers plenty of space for storing equipment. Guests are allocated a personal set-up area and storage crate to keep their gear while both 12-liter and 15-liter tanks (as well as weight belts) are provided. For those who don’t want to bring their own diving equipment, a range of high-quality Aqualung gear is available. Safety sausages are provided complimentarily while Nitrox is available for a surcharge.
During the northeast monsoon (from April to November), the Thailand Master cruises Thailand’s Andaman Sea to encounter the breathtaking marine life of the Similan Islands, the Surin Islands, and Richelieu Rock. It also offers five-day cruises through Southern Thailand around the islands of Phuket, Ko Phi Phi, and Ko Lanta.
For divers wanting to explore the little-visited underwater world of Myanmar, you can join one of Thailand Master’s 10-night trips to the Mergui Archipelago. Comprising more than 800 islands, this is an opportunity to experience a dive destination that remains largely untouched.
On a Thai liveaboard trip, you can expect to see blacktip and whitetip reef sharks, as well as spotted eagle rays and giant schools of barracuda and Napoleon wrasse. Four species of marine turtles live in the waters surrounding the Similan Islands, with sightings of green, leatherback, olive ridley, and hawksbill turtles all common. The critter life is also exceptional and includes a diverse array of multi-colored nudibranchs, pipefish, and tiny octopi.
Thailand experiences a tropical year-round climate, with maximum temperatures ranging from around 82°F (28°C) to 90°F (33°C). Water temperatures in the Andaman Sea hover between 83 to 87°F (28 to 30°C) throughout the year, with visibility up to around 150 feet (45 meters). Most divers will be comfortable in a 3mm wetsuit.
