Komodo

With its infamous dragons above, and its equally unusual creatures below, the island of Komodo is a not-to-be-missed diving destination. The proliferation of hard coral reefs, together with ample macro and critter life means that keeping your dive camera at the ready is a must at all times. The gorgeous reefs of this national park feature thousands of weird and wonderful marine species, ranging from carpet sharks to flying lizards.

Best time to dive in Komodo Island

Scuba Diving in Komodo is good all year round with the best diving conditions running from March to October when the visibility is the best from November to January.

Other Attractions

Take a land excursion to see the Komodo dragons on Komodo Island or Rinca Island. Choose a guided tour lasting an hour or trek for several hours to spot Komodo dragons and other wildlife on the islands. Kayaking and snorkelling trips are also available from Labuan Bajo.

Labuan Bajo is the nearest airport and is serviced by flights from Bali and Jakarta.
