Most of the diving in the Banda Islands is easy with warm water temperates paired with excellent visibility and a lack of challenging currents.
Among its many marine treasures, this area is home to the largest known population of Napoleon wrasses in Indonesia. Ambon is also known for incredible muck diving, or “Critter Hunting” as we like to call it.
Banda Sea Diving Season
The amazing dive sites of the Banda Islands are best visited in March and April and during the September to December period.
At this time, scuba divers will experience less rain than during the summer months. The seas are also relatively smooth, making for the most comfortable liveaboard journeys.
