Brac Reef Beach Resort
We stayed at Brac Reef Beach Resort. I didn’t see a lot of difference in the regular rooms and the Jr suites and the ocean views were not much different between rooms. Housekeeping services were good. All that being said, the resort was good and we would definitely go back if we were ever to go to Cayman Brac again. The rooms were average in terms of décor, size, amenities, etc. but they were clean and very functional. They had activities most nights that many of our group went to and enjoyed. The food was very good; good variety, well prepared, good mixture of local and western offerings and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. They were great in accommodating our large group.
The reef was healthy, walls were very scenic and the wreck we did, the Russian Frigate 356, was a very good wreck dive; shallow enough to be able to spend some time exploring and open enough to swim through some. It was very good. I was surprised that there was no camera room at the dive shop. Most places have a camera room to store and prepare your camera for diving. Not a real big deal, but for photographers, it is a plus to have that option. The dive staff were very good. Dive masters were knowledgeable and friendly, the boats were comfortable and spacious and entry into and out of the water was easy. The crew was very helpful. Our 10 year old grandson, did his open water certification dives there and the instructor was very, very good. There was only one opportunity to a night dive. Night diving is something that several in our group like to do so more opportunities here would have been a plus.
Cayman Brac offered especially good diving, Brac Reef Resort was a very comfortable place to stay and eat and Reef Divers did an excellent job of making our dive experience an enjoyable one. Good diving, good food, Caribbean weather with family and good friends; it just doesn’t get much better.
Thanks for your help in putting this trip together. It was great and I enjoyed working with you again.
