Buddy Dive Resort Bonaire is an outstanding shore diving destination for scuba divers of all levels. Less than 100 miles from the northern shores of Venezuela, Bonaire’s arid climate and reliably warm, sunny weather is easily accessed from North America and elsewhere through the island’s Flamingo International Airport.
As Bonaire dive resorts go, Buddy Dive is nestled in a particularly prime location that’s mid-point along the island’s idyllic, shore-diving west coast, and just opposite the two dozen or so offshore sites surrounding the islet known as Klein Bonaire.

Diving
At just over 100 square miles, the island of Bonaire is best known for its fringing reef that lies about 10 meters (30 feet) from the shoreline. With as many as 60 different shore diving sites stretched along the west coast, the warm, calm waters, great visibility, minimal currents, and shallow drop-off area mean that new and experienced divers alike can maximize their bottom time, while enjoying a fascinating abundance of multi-coloured fish and other marine life. Offshore at Klein Bonaire, another two dozen sites are a mere 10-minute boat ride away from Buddy Dive Resort.
Resort guests have the choice of filling their oxygen or Nitrox tanks at the convenient drive-thru station and driving the island’s coastline on their own, taking advantage of easy diving access right from the dock of the resort itself, or joining a daily guided morning or afternoon dive from one of Buddy Dive’s custom dive boats.
Conveniently located rinse tanks and extensive gear storage, tech diving gear, equipment, and diver training, and the availability of regular boat night dives and private dive guide services, all contribute to making Buddy Dive a highly recommended Bonaire dive resort.
