Diving

At Magic Island Dive Resort the dive center is at the water’s edge. The center has a thirty diver capacity, but with a maximum resort capacity of twenty-five divers, it never feels crowded. There’s plenty of space for rinsing and hanging and dedicated space for cameras. The center has three boats that pull up directly to the dive center meaning you can just jump onboard. The boats look like traditional bangkas with the bamboo outriggers but have modern engine designs to make them more diver and environmentally friendly.

Twenty dive sites wait to be explored from dawn ‘til dusk and beyond, including a fabulous house reef. Expect to see everything from pygmy seahorses to thresher sharks, swirling sardine bait balls, whale sharks, frog fish and more. Nitrox is available, and the center offers fluoro and blackwater diving as well as night diving and twilight dives where you can see the mandarin fish mating display.

Magic Oceans Dive Resort, in the town of Anda on the island of Bohol, is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Dive Resort and offers the full range of PADI dive courses in Dutch and English. The center is well equipped and has plenty of space for rinsing, drying and gearing up. Photographers have dedicated sinks and tables. The resort has three boats, one is a small traditional Bangka and is used for up to 8 guests. The other two larger boats still have the traditional outriggers but can take 16 and 12 divers. These larger boats have toilets, camera stations, and seating areas; all boats serve drinks and refreshments between dives and are staffed by an experienced crew.

Enjoy the fabulous house reef, in addition to a huge variety of live and a great range of sites to explore. Expect everything from tiny nudibranch and muck diving to walls, beautiful corals, and the occasional whale shark and manta ray.
