Only a breezeway from the unique deep-water frontage, each traditionally thatched Taveuni accommodation bure (pr: boo-ray) has spectacular views of either a stunning ocean vista or lush tropical South Pacific Island gardens. Each bure has been hand built in 2006/07 with local coconut and rain tree woods. French glass doors open to a spacious deck completed with a Fiji daybed. Inside the bure finds a generous king bed, spacious lounge room and modern bathroom.  The essential Fiji outdoor shower within a private garden awaits and all Oceanfront bures have a Jacuzzi. .

The Diving

Most diving is offered on Vuna Reef, and the famous Rainbow Reef can be reached from here as well. With over 40 dive sites accessible from Paradise, you will find something for every type of diver – from beginner to advanced. Level 1: Beginner diver. Maximum depth 18 metres, gentle with no current Level 2: Intermediate diver, depths range from 20-25 metres, some current, some surface waves at times Level 3: Advanced diver, depths up to 30 metres, expect current and exposed surface conditions at times Divers will enjoy an overabundance of diverse marine life. Giant clams, hard and soft corals, resident moray eels, sea snakes and flashlight fish are found within the first metres of the calm, clear waters of the resort’s shore.

The Dive Shop

Pro Dive Taveuni, is owned and operated by Paradise Taveuni and is located on the oceanfront of Paradise, offering fast access to scenic unspoilt Fiji diving including the world famous Rainbow Reef & White Wall – a must for all advanced divers. The Pro Dive Crew & shop offers top quality scuba diving gear coupled with professional local knowledge. The PADI instructors offer a large range of dive courses & safety is paramount at the Resort. Learn to Dive with Pro Dive Taveuni and PADI Instructors or upgrade pre-existing skills. A wide range of Dive Courses are available. Spectacular dives sites accessible by boat and from the waters edge makes learning to dive in Paradise an amazing experience. Perfect for training, the varieties of dives available around the Resort are ideal conditions for beginners and excellent training grounds.

Paradise Taveuni offers 10 elegantly appointed Bures and 4 new Vale’s. 5 Oceanfront Bures have a luxurious Jacuzzi and 5 Tropical Bures all located only a stones throw from the oceanfront cliff edge.

Oceanfront Bures 5 Oceanfront Bures have uninterrupted ocean views from the spacious rain tree deck. These bures also have an outdoor shower and Jacuzzi in the private tropical garden.

Tropical Bures 5 Tropical Bures have abundant garden and ocean views with tropical outdoor showers in a private garden.

Oceanfront Vale’s 4 NEW Oceanfront air-conditioned Vale Lomani (Beautiful room) are a recent addition to Paradise. All Bures and Vales include: Generous king bed in private bedroom, spacious lounge room, tea & coffee facilities, mini bar & refrigerator, 240 volt power / 24 hour power, 2 ceiling fans, complimentary Fiji Sulus, bath products, bath linen & pool towels, modern bathroom, hairdryer, modern bathroom with indoor bathtub with shower, outdoor shower and Jacuzzi in private tropical garden, spacious sun deck with table & chairs, Fiji Day bed on deck, smoking & non-smoking bures available, NO TV! The local men have thatched the bure roofs, leaving the bures naturally cool.   The method of traditional thatching married with the wood louvers keeps the air flowing throughout the bure, making them naturally cool while ensuring protection from rain, sun and heat. Surrounded by abundant tropical gardens, each recently built bure offers modern quality fittings and tiled floors, while demonstrating the architecture of traditional Fiji throughout.

Restaurant

Chef Allan, an internationally trained Chef, insists that the menus include fresh, local, mostly organic produce.  Incorporating the local styles of cooking into the more traditional methods has proved rewarding and Paradise is known to have one of the best Restaurants in the South Pacific. Dietary requirements are catered to and Allan will design a dish to meet your specifications, should you wish.

Facilities

The new horizon edge swimming pool offers a refreshing alternative to the crystal waters of Paradise.  A new restaurant and bar, tour desk, Pro Dive Taveuni on site, gift shop and oceanfront Wedding Bure are also available. A large selection of adventures and activities are available on request. Horse riding, kayaking,  snorkelling, swimming, jet skiing, hiking, guided tours, waterfall trips, rainforest tours, relaxing spa services and plenty of hammocks and poolside deck chairs to choose from.
