Food

Translating as Beam of Light” in the local language, Riveli is the main restaurant at the Angsana Ihuru and dishes up a variety of cuisine. Feast on Asian favourites, Mediterranean dishes or Maldivian specialties while watching the sunset over the Indian Ocean.  

In addition, the resort also features an open-air waterfront bar, Velaavani, where cocktails and snacks are served throughout the day. If you prefer a more private dining experience, the Angsana Ihuru is famed for its destination dining, with the option for a beach barbecue or romantic meal for two at your villa. Diving

The Angsana Ihuru is home to its very own PADI 5-Star Resort Dive Centre thats designed for both beginner and experienced divers. Led by a team of professional PADI-certified divers, they run daily dive trips and certification courses for all levels. You can bring your own gear or take advantage of their range of high-quality dive rental equipment.  

If youre travelling with kids, they also offer a special Diving for Kids program where eight or nine-year-olds can encounter diving for the first time. Equipped with safe, child-friendly scuba gear, theyll be led through a PADI Bubblemaker course with a certified instructor while exploring the resorts shallow lagoon.  

A Maldives dive vacation at the Angsana Ihuru resort will have you on the doorstep of some of North Male Atolls most exciting dive sites. Descend to explore the dramatic walls and pristine reefs while coming face-to-face with reef sharks, turtles and large schools of fish. Water temperatures range from around  83-86°F (28-30°C) throughout the year, with most divers comfortable in either a shorty or full-length 3mm wetsuit. 

The Maldives experiences a warm, tropical climate throughout the year thats divided into two monsoon seasons. The Northeast monsoon (November to April) sees generally sunny days while the Southwest monsoon (May to October) is marked by rain, with the heaviest showers usually experienced between June and August. 

Other Activities

If youre travelling with non-divers, they can still enjoy the idyllic island setting while participating in a range of water sports. Anglers can go sports fishing and reef fishing while banana boating, wakeboarding and windsurfing are all on offer.
