Deluxe Treehouse Rooms The Deluxe Treehouses are the most spacious rooms at the Hamanasi Adventure & Dive Resort and feature a separate living room decorated with handcrafted Belizean furniture. There are a king-size bed and a sofa that can be turned into a double bed for divers travelling with kids, as well as a jacuzzi, an iPod docking station and a private en-suite bathroom.
Belize Treehouse Rooms Each of the Belize Treehouse Rooms is equipped with either one king-size bed or two queen beds to accommodate four guests and are elevated around 12 feet off the ground. There’s also a sofa bed that can be transformed into an additional bed, plus an iPod docking station and a private en-suite bathroom.
Beachfront Suites There are two Beachfront Suites at Hamanasi Adventure & Dive Resort, with a romantically draped four-poster king bed in each. They also feature a comfortable sitting area with a sofa and chairs, as well as a private en-suite bathroom.
Belize Beachfront Rooms Each of the Belize Beachfront Rooms features either one king-size bed or two queen beds for a maximum of four guests, as well as a sofa that can be transformed into an additional bed. Beachfront Plus The Beachfront Plus rooms feature two separate bedrooms, one with a mahogany king-size bed and another with two twin beds. Both rooms have their own entrance to the shared bathroom and there’s a spacious sitting area where you can relax.
Amenities
The Hamanasi Adventure & Dive Resort centers around the Great House where the reception, gift shop, library and restaurant are located. Be sure to climb to the lookout at the top of this plantation-inspired building to soak up the panoramic views across the Caribbean and the Maya Mountains.
There’s a freshwater infinity pool where you can relax in between dives, with plenty of beach chairs and hammocks for kicking back with a good book. Bicycles, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are available for use in the local area while laundry and babysitting services are offered.
Food
The Hamanasi Adventure & Dive Resort’s Singanga restaurant serves meals throughout the day, with the option to dine in the elegant interior or on the alfresco deck. Organic produce is used from the resort’s edible garden to create both Belizean and international cuisine, together with a range of locally-sourced meats and seafood.
Begin the day with hot coffee, home-baked pastries, yogurts and granola, with the lunch menu featuring tacos, burgers and hearty salads. In the evening, you can enjoy a fine dining experience with homemade soups, freshly caught seafood and delicious desserts. Thursday nights are dedicated to Belizean cuisine, with feasts that are accompanied by live traditional music. Special dietary requests can be catered for with prior notification.
Diving
The Hamanasi Adventure & Dive Resort is a PADI 5-Star resort and staffed by a team of highly experienced PADI professionals. Their daily dive trips explore the Southern Barrier Reef, Glover’s Reef Atoll and the Turneffe Islands Atoll, as well as the Blue Hole, Lighthouse Reef Atoll and Half Moon Caye.
This Belize dive resort operates a number of custom-designed dive boats with all the latest safety equipment, as well as offering a range of high-quality dive gear for rent. All equipment is rinsed by the staff after use and can be stored at the dive shop for the duration of your stay.
In addition to fun dives, the Hamanasi Adventure & Dive Resort facilitates a wide range of dive courses for all levels, including Open Water certification and professional courses. There are also specialty courses on offer, such as Enriched Air Diver, and Nitrox is available for divers with appropriate certification.
Water temperatures in Belize remain fairly constant throughout the year, ranging from 79 to 84°F (26 to 29°C). Most divers are comfortable in a 3 mm shorty or full wet-suit and visibility ranges from around 60 feet (18 meters) to 100 feet (30 meters). March to December is considered the best time to dive in terms of conditions and marine life, with April and June the peak tourism months in Belize.
Other Activities
Non-diving family members can experience the underwater wonders of the Belize Barrier Reef on a snorkelling excursion, with sites that are suitable for both beginner and experienced snorkelers. Land-based activities range from exploring ancient Mayan archaeological sites to hiking through the Jaguar Preserve and the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary.
