Aside from its multiple restaurants and bars, the Mayan Princess Beach & Dive Resort is home to two swimming pools surrounded by umbrellas and sun loungers. Scattered throughout the Mayan Princess Beach & Dive Resort are four restaurants, including the Ballam Buffet Restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Creative fusion cuisine is the focus of San Simon’s, a laid-back beach club-style eatery.

Diving

The Mayan Princess is home to a PADI dive center that offers daily excursions to explore the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. It is ideally situated close to a number of world-class dive sites suitable for both first-timers and experienced divers. Diving packages are available that include two morning dives, one afternoon dive, and a sunset/night dive.

When it comes to diving courses, the Mayan Princess offers everything from Open Water to Rescue Diver training, as well as Deep Diver, Wreck Dive, and Enriched Air Nitrox specialties. It has a full line of high-quality Scubapro rental gear available, all of which is regularly maintained by certified technicians.

The four custom-designed boats at this Roatan dive resort are equipped with emergency oxygen, first aid kits, and a roof for sun protection. While you can dive year-round in Roatan, the best time to visit is generally considered to be from March to September when you can expect clear skies, calmer seas, and great visibility. Most divers are comfortable in a 3mm shorty wetsuit, with the water temperature between 79ºF and 84ºF (26ºC and 28ºC) throughout the year.
